I had much higher hopes for that movie. I gotta score it a C-. The acting.....man, it was SO flat. It felt like I was watching a soap opera, and a bad one at that. It kinda drug along. Super slow, punctuated by moments of "hey that was kinda cool." Some girl in the front section kept screaming too. That doesn't help the experience.

Catch it on a matinee if you must. My suggestion would be to rent or buy the original and watch that at home.

Nah. I thought the original had much better acting. Better effects in the new one, but they just didn't bring it home.

Ahh...the fact that the chick playing the mom was in a teeny bopper movie kinda ruined it for me,to be honest. :D
