Neato. Although what you pay for isn't equal to what you get. Are flash drives faster? 16GB doesn't sound like alotta space. Even for a laptop. :wtf:

The Vaio UX90 will come with 16GB of flash memory storage in place of the 30GB hard drive on the original model. It will cost around $1805, or about $345 more expensive than the disk-based model, and go on sale in Japan on July 3.

Flash SSD drives are MUCH faster, they are estimating about 100 times faster. They also suck less juice, so a laptop can stay on longer. And the biggie one, they are more vibration resistant, and in a laptop, that's awesome.

Hmm..it might be worth it then...although 16GB's is really a joke. WinXP takes up a gig doesn't it? Ugh.

Yeh, it sure would take alot of room up. I'd wait till they expand this technology more so it becomes cheaper. Good idea, but too small and expensive to be effective.

Yepz...I'd give it time to mature.
