Top Gear host, Richard Hammond in "critical condition" after 300MPH crash!

I talked to a few of my buddies from the UK, and apparently, he's in stable condition now...but man, I can't imagine what he broke or messed up from this. I hope he's alright, he's one of my favorite tv personalities...he's great on Brainiac as well. :(

Oh no!!! He's one of my favorite hosts on Top Gear... I hope he'll be ok from that.

Actually, I take back the crap part...looks like he's doing alright...there's several links to new stories, and he's taken his first steps and able to eat, etc.

I feel for him...as generalized medicine isn't the best place to be. I speak from experience.

Richard Hammond

As you'll be aware, last week our friend and colleague Richard Hammond was seriously hurt while recording an item for Top Gear.

Over the weekend Richard improved again, and reports suggest that he's been joking with his wife, Jeremy and James. He's also managed to eat some cereal, which is a huge relief to us all.

An internet campaign to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance has so far raised more than £162,000. Richard's family has asked that rather than send flowers, they would love people donate money to help YAA continue to save lives. A link to the donation site is available in the news stories below.
