Have you been to the headquarters? You need to create your character...by looking at your RPG stats, you haven't been there yet.

I know, I know...no manual. Just go to the HQ, create your character, and then the itemshop. Purchase a Heal spell, a weapon, and some armor, plus a vial of health. You should be good to go then!
