I dun' play RPG games ever. So I'm having some difficulty on some tactical aspects of the game: when exactly would you use a spell as an attack - as opposed to a sword - on an enemy? 'Cause my sword is more powerful than any(I have one) spell I could conjure. Do you use it against enemies who are weak defensively against magic?

this RPG isn't as in depth as other RPGs (that is spell affinity or resistance and what not). With this one I'd say is a typical hack and slash do what you will kinda RPG. You can attack with your sword or your magic spells (if you're a class with magic attacks) and do damage to your opponent.

havent really needed to use any spells on a monster yet, just my sword.

^^^Me neither. And there doesn't seem to be any high-level spells that are stronger than any high-level swords, so I'd be wasting my money purchasing both, right?

I'm a mercenary, btw.

It depends on what you like, really...heh. It's more of a preference really.

Some monsters are weaker against spells than weapons, I think. Though, it really matters more on your class since a mage will do a LOT more damage with a spell than a staff attack since their m. atk is higher than most players, and especially higher than their p. atk.

Today I fought a monster on whom magic seemed to work better than my sword. Like Yoherz said - it depends on the opponant and if they're more resistant to weapon-based attacks or magic-based attacks.

Yup. Also depends on your class.

Though, there is a trick to this certain RPG. I wonder if anyone has figured it out yet.
