I've been trying to get copies of old movies...not just d/l versions.

that can be hard to do man. i once had the oppurtunity to buy the entire series of fist of the north star on 10 dvds from toys n joys for 150 or something like that, but i was a broke little boy. now i'm a broke ass adult so i just torrent.

whoa that series is that shitZ. I am actually lucky enough in having someon in my class make DVD's of the series for me.

yeah I got lots of mpeg and divx versions of anime series. I have them neatly catalogued and organized on storage LAN.

after a while though...you wanna own the real thing...:D

but they are prohibitively expensive...:(

oh yeah. especially if i wanted to buy the complete fist of the north star series with all the differn't series including the one from 2006. i think there was close to 50 gigs of stuff so that would cost me over a grand at least just to get my hands on that. my 2 dragon ball z vids got from japan from my aunty were about 90 bucks as a set. so imagine how much a whole series would be

damn my vcr is broken now i all my anime that i have on vhs is no good i guess i gotta start a dvd anime collection now

ha ha...will that be blu-ray or HD DVD? original DVD's are already obsolete....:D

There are some anime forum sites that have a trade section. Where people sell or trade DVD copies of anime. I forgot the site names, but I stumbled across a few when I was looking for Japanese Drama trade/sell sites.
