thanks for sharing
I like it :) for some reason I just like the park bench of a wing on those...
the copper color is good and the hood fits in nicely with it. whats the diff in the rear end by the exhaust?

My car (with the ASPEC wing) has a Mugen rear lip, while the other has the ASPEC rear lip. We both have the Mugen front and ASPEC sides.

Nice pics Keith! Love that color. I also seen a dropped blaze orange one with bronze rims in Wahiawa. That one looks nice too!

Very nice! I've always prefered the 05-06 DC5 over the older ones. That color is also one of the few cars I think it works on too.

Although I'm not a huge fan of what you did to the carbon hood, I can appreciate how well it flows. Is that vinyl or did you paint it?

The hood is painted. Thank you for the kind words :)

Any opinions regarding this exhaust tone? The video is not of an Acura RSX, but the exhaust should sound fairly similar, if not identical.

I'm just looking for an exhaust system that will compliment my turbocharger, but doesn't sound like a weed whacker. I've spent the past 2 months looking at everything from universal Magnaflow mufflers to full Mugen catbacks, but everything was either too loud, too restrictive, or had too big of a muffler tip.

If anyone has an alternative, I'm all ears. I'm looking for a 2.5" setup with LOTS of resonance (as quiet as possible), and a muffler tip that's no bigger than my stock one (4"). Megan's OE-RS catback is the closest match, although I'll need to reweld the piping for a proper fit with my Type-S.

The exhaust sounds pretty good to me.

thanx for sharing your pics!
+1 for the clean car. It's always pleasing to see a clean car.

Engine management was the single-most expensive thing on the car at $1500 (Hondata KPRO). The turbocharger related components such as the injectors, intercooler, wastegate, manifold, etc. ran ~$4200.

The exhaust sounds pretty good to me.

Thank you much. I've more or less decided on the Megan catback due to the exhaust note. Aside from the bassy sound at lower RPMs, it sounds exactly like my stock exhaust (a good thing)

Or should I just leave the turbo emblem off?

i think you should go with a more subtle 't' instead of the rsx-S it can be RSX-T.

hahaha =P just a thought.

btw, you work near nimitz.. umm near that place where it always floods right? saw your car there, i think.. orange RSX, black hood. clean.

if that was you.. WOOT! stalker points for me.

I was never particularly fond of my rear diffuser, so I painted it black to "mask" it a little. Although it's a rare Mugen part (only one in Hawaii!), it felt too ricey for my taste.

On a side note, here's a video of the exhaust I went with. It's a true 2.5" straight-through system, and it's quieter than nearly every Honda/Acura out there!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75YsbKQ4T20

Although it seems loud in the video, it's actually really close to stock. To gauge how quiet it is, you can hear the hiss from the engine in the background, and at :18 I actually rev'd to 5k RPMs.

This gives you a better idea of how my exhaust sounds compared to the stock unit (blue RSX). Given he rev'd past 6k RPMs and I let off at 5k.
