Question....does this poll differentiate by island?
Overwhelmingly it is probably Oahu residents in favor of the SFH.
One of the arguments Kauai was giving is they are not properly represented in state-wide issues and are being overwhelmed by the real majority of Oahu.:D

you may have a point there Chronic... and i do believe it is the majority vote from Oahu that is in favor of the SFH...

i don't remember maui's position of the SFH, did they refuse the SFH also?

Well...yeah. I guess so. LOL. The problem I think with that...is that all of these islands aren't separate...they form a whole...the state of Hawaii. They might as well be independant states then.

Kauai... maybe 2% of Kauai doesn't want the SF, the vast majority is not active and could care less...

Lingle is smart...she knows that if she allows the legislature to do their jobs and they overturn the decision...or make a decision that helps bring the SF into service, it will look like she has been very careful and did not over step her boundaries...but if the legislature screws it up she can place the blame on them! then hope that voters remember that the Hawaii Democrats control the legislature!!!
