i agree with the article...many in the sports world have been discussing similar topics...sometimes athletes get caught up in trying to portray an image and forget about the team...everyone seems to be in it for themselves...those players produce numbers but for some odd reason the team never wins the championships!!!

LOL, that article is retarded. Hip Hop.....no, Rap Music is being blamed yet again for someone elses problem. C'mon NFL, man up and regain that control you had 10-15 years ago. What happend to when a player constantly acted up, you got rid of his ass no matter how talented he was? Don't sit there and say "oh well he is the way he is because he listents to hip hop, we can't do anything about it except blame Jay Z and 50 Cent."

I don't agree with the music thing, but I think he was more regarding the culture surrounding it than the music.

Even so, Hip Hop isn't about confrontation, being disrespectful, or acting like an ass.

the true part of hip hop isn't...but look at a lot of main stream guys...50 cent...talks about getting money and getting the girls and having to protect himself from gangstas...while the real meaning of hip hop isn't to promote the inner city violence or drugs and sex, the truth is that the image of hip hop is one of sex, drugs, guns, and money!!! when a player becomes worried about his street cred rather than personal responsibility then we have a problem!!!
