Something like a Citroen, MG, Fiat, Renault, Alfa Romeo, Triumph, etc.? The Internet's been great for sourcing parts and stuff, but is there anywhere locally you guys go?

My boss has an 1928 Austin 7 Chummy. I posted pictures of it a while back. Its an early car and parts for it are very scarce but there's a guy locally that specializes on working with European cars. His name is Larry, but I forgot his last name. His garage is right next to the times on Beretania st. near the diamond head entrance on the beretania side parking stalls.

That Larry guy is one HELL of a weird dude tho, but he's the best when it comes to working on very unusual and exotic cars. If you want I can get you his contact info.

He has been working on my Boss' Austin since it arrived in Hawaii in February. The car had some mechanical failures passed down to my boss from the previous owner in London. Larry's had to custom make a lot of the parts due to the fact that it is so difficult to find parts for a 1928 car. So I give that guy props. It seems the car will be finished in the next few months. But we're not holding our breath for it.

Actually, I know Larry. I've been to his shop a few times, and he's done a lot of work on my Ferrari before I bought it. I'd have to agree with your assessment of his personality and his skills. He thinks my NSX is a piece of shit. :D

He has such an unassuming place. You'd never guess there was an exotic car mechanic there. I remember dropping in unexpectedly and seeing a beautiful Lamborghini Miura in his garage. The clamshell hood was open and both cylinder heads were off.

Yup, Larry's quite a resource. There's going to be a big void when he retires.

I was thinking more of a place that might have unusual parts locally.
