350Z found burning at HRP.

Just a heads up...a 350Z was found burnt to a crisp at the back entrance to the former HRP. Just an FYI.

Well, it wasn't Mike W's car. Some azzhole's parked a 350Z in our driveway and set it on fire! WTF!

Everything including the suspension looked stock. As you can see by one of the photos, it had an aftermarket exhaust. Unusual single one in my opinion. Also, it looks like it had an aftermarket air intake filter as well.

This caused so much trouble for us. We had to, literally, scrape the reminance of the aluminum trans off the asphalt because it melted into a puddle. The only thing I could see was it had Bridgestone tires. Do 350Z's come stock with Bidgestones's?

If it's a single exhaust setup- then that's rare. you can probably find out on the forums.
as for the engine being there....
maybe someone blew their engine, and didn't want to spend a lot of money fixing it, especially on a car they are making payments on. most likely a non warranty issue....
tow it somewhere, and burn it...

Oh well . . . cops left it with no obligations (go figure?). Good fenders, brake, etc. The guys that have it now are probably going to recycle it.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks more like a 240/hachi, bend the pipe, drag the exhaust, modification. Usually you'd expect more from a newer sportscar. Maybe that's why it got torched. My question is: why in my driveway!

I'm sure the aluminum vin tag melted up, but what about the VIN stamping? Should be pretty easy to find out where the car was from.

Oh and probably cause your office driveway is way out in BFE, Tom. ;) Looks like they were able to completely burn the car with nobody even noticing out there. Hmm. That's odd - I would have thought that someone would have seen something!

usually firewall, passenger side near top (most imports) its partial vin, but enough to identify as it has the sequence.

A pillar/b pillar, dash are usually aluminum plate stamped (or lazer etched now-days)

they are now. from the looks of the picture, the headlights have melted into nothingness.
