Saw this article in the USA Weekend paper that comes with the Sunday newspaper...this one was from Nov. 4. I thought it was kind of funny to see what they chose.

I've had sporty cars all my life. So what will I drive when I hit my mid-life crisis? I'd better figure it out quick because it's coming up soon! :D

the last (and only brand new) sports car I had was in 1984, been a "value" buyer ever since but have to admit that Cayman is pretty bad ass. material things never bring true happiness but what a way to tool around :p now then it's off to the BEACH! :pile:

oh wait, bought the ex a new mx-5 in '92. the rest of the new vehicles were always mini-vans or trucks. I just hate driving off the lot and losing $1k right there.

Ditto with the Porsche...

Smart Fortwo goes on sale (I think) Jan 08. 12k-16k depending on what you choose. The ones that are here now were "federalized", so I'm guessing that's why they're so insanely expensive.

Hopefully Smart USA will make them sell the cars at MSRP. I am seriously considering one for the commuter vehicle.

i've also had my fair share of sporty cars(euro and japanese). the evo could be the last one. no red p-cars for me :)

prolly go with someting uniquely uhh'merican to cruise around in.

or late 60's nova/mid 80's grand national... these were the street racing cars in the local nightly news reports when i was in HS during the late 80's...

i'm pretty close to midlife right now, but no real $$$ to have a car crisis. if i had the $$$, though, i think i'd like to either build up a dually, or a rat rod. maybe a rat dually? flat black paint, chopped and dropped, and a blown 454 with hilborn injectors poking through the hood? dunno if i'd go all the way with the rat fink shifter sticking up to the ceiling and skull shift knob, though. maybe a tuck and roll interior?

you all are too funny...get over it already! j/k

Although a Porsche is not my style, I love it in the pearl grey!
