(Sorry if it's spelled wrong.)

This is the story of how it started, as it was told by my dad.
There was a farmer by the name Mclarin, who hated how expensive Ferraris were. So, he went and complained to the maker of the Ferrari (or someone high up in there) about the prices. So, the guy said, "if you think you can do better, then go right ahead."
~So, he did. :chuck_norris:

I would put a wikipedia link here, but I couldn't seem to find one. Probably since I couldn't spell it right. XD

No, no, no... you've got it a bit wrong. That's the story of Ferruccio Lamborghini and how he started building supercars. Back in the 50's(?), his company built farm tractors (in fact, I think they still do), and the big thing for wealthy Italians back then to do was to buy Ferraris. He bought one, but he found the car horribly unreliable. Ferruccio was a gearhead and came up with several ways to improve the car. He went straight to Enzo, but Enzo dismissed him saying something like, "What do you know, you're just a farmer." That pissed Ferruccio off (you know them Italians), so he vowed to build cars faster and more reliable than Ferrari's.

The McLaren F1 3-seater supercar was created by the McLaren Formula 1 team. The McLaren F1 team was founded by Bruce McLaren, a New Zealander who raced in F1 in the 60's. He was one of the few driver/owners. Although Bruce died in 1970, his team still races in F1 today. In fact, in many F1 fans' opinions, Team McLaren is the greatest privateer team in modern F1.

Ah, thanks for the correction. My memory is s*** anyways :5shots: so it's no surprise I got the two mixed up. They're both high-class cars. ;)
Though, I'm sure my dad said Lamborghini, but I thought of a McLarin since it was the first car to come to mind that topped the Ferraris.

they've done some interesting work with regular production cars as well... the ASC/McLaren Pontiac GP, for example, or the Buick GNX.
