There has been a few cases already of nearly stock 2.3 DISI's throwing rods and shit. Early model speed6's seem to be the most common and that worries me because my car is the 317th (of 10000) speed6 produced hehe. Worst thing is that mazda is not honoring warranty on some of the engines due to stupid things like a BOV upgrade or in one case "dirty oil".

When it does I'm claiming lemon law, my car has been for a week at the dealer due to water intrusion inside the car and they can't still find the leak.

lemon law has to be recurring problem right?
I know someone w. a MS6 that went boom in Washington... not warrantied
he towed it to the dealer in stock trim

That's what sucks about lemon law, it has to be something that breaks over and over again.

Your brake rotors dont count... take this out of our forum!!!
LOL - kidding.

In regards to Mazda not honoring warranty, they do have to prove that the modification is attributed to the problem. My friend in LA had a blown motor, and mazda refused to replace it because he had rims. RIMS!!!!

RIMS!!!!!!!!!!! Thats the nuttiest one i have heard yet.

He called his lawyer, and in 3 days a new (not rebuilt, but new) motor was sent over from Japan for install.
