nice.. i was beginning to think iraqis had the patience of a fuggin turtle. if i was an iraqi, and i believed that americans could be driven out by insurgents.. i might even join them just to push the american forces out so there would be no fighting.. you know? it must ****in suck to be those guys. im glad america is doing good. its always the bad apples that make the whole seem fd up.

See? This is what we've been saying all along, in spite of the mainstream media running and hiding from the truth. A lot of us here actually have friends and family who served/continue to serve in Iraq, and one thing I heard several times was that it's not like what you see on the news.

How's this for a mind-bender? What if one of the mainstream news agencies (besides Fox), decided to report on the positive outcomes in the war? Quite honestly, the numbers show that Americans are ready for a dose of truth, and any network that wants to up its viewership/readership might want to consider this route. The New York Times changing its stance would be more eye-opening to dyed-in-the-wool libs than Fox News singing the same tune for the past several years.

That article is retarded, wait till summer starts again. I wouldn't call this a "success" to the extent that the author does, especially when it's perfectly normal for attacks drop this significantly, during the winter. Thats why main stream media ain't reporting it as a "success" noone is stupid enough to give credit for something that ain't true.

It was a nice try, however, My buddy in Iraq told me that mortars attacks have lessened quite a bit. So I guess there has been a bit of success.

I think the point was more about how the media normally shows a very negative light on Iraq.

+1 I agree on that note.

The author wasn't saying we are near victory. He is just saying we are doing better than we were doing a few months ago...while at the same time when the news was abuzz a few months ago lampooning every mistake...they are silent now when we are improving.

Nobody in their right mind is gonna say we will be done and out of there in a year....nobody but Democrats.:punch:
