UH needs to enjoy the 12-0 season for about 20 more minutes... and then get focused on the Sugar Bowl.

If they beat the #5... they will gain a tremendous amount of more respect accross the nation than if they lose. If they lose, itll prove what everyoen is saying that they are only went 12-0 because of the teams they played, not the team they are.

True - a victory over the Bulldogs would, of course, be the best way to gain national respect. But even a hard-fought loss would make some doubters maybe reconsider their "overrated" opinion of Hawaii. If the Warriors lose in a close game but give Georgia all they can handle on offense and defense, I think it would prove a big point: that we can hang with the big-boys.

That being said...Go Warriors.

i'm pricing out air & hotel arrangements right now... looks like it's around $2000 (min) to get out there... doesn't even include the tickets. another friend did a package deal @ regal travel... he's paying $2700+ for each person... fcking expensive... but this chance doesn't come around often!

20 points? i think they going be 35 point underdogs.....but BELIEVE!!

yeah its a far trip! but its a once in a life time deal! the true warriors will make it to the game no matter how much it cost! hopefully we can get a lot of fans out there!

I think they'll be underdogs...but I think they can't do it...the only problem is not having home field advantage. Warrior fans are nuts, apparently.

theres waiting list at both travel agencies offering BCS package deals....

so far i heard of 2 chartered flights ...only 2? we need to bring about 20,000 fans to the superdome! its a sure fact georgia is bringing the house down since they arent too far away from the superdome.....

I agree...UH doesn't have as much to lose as compared to Georgia. Less pressure with everything to gain. That isn't to mention that Georgia's morale is a little down because they didn't make it into the championship game which they probably deserved. We may be the underdogs, but I say "...bring it on!!!" If UH loses a close game, they will still have a lot of respect. A couple weeks ago, when Fresno State beat Kansas State, the ESPN commentators were asking what happened and how could this happen. The WAC is so underrated, if UH beats Georgia, that should be a huge wake up call not only for UH, but for the rest of the WAC. The level of competition and the athletic abilities of players are so close these days that any team can be another on any given day. Thus, all the upsets from the unranked teams (ie. Michigan...need I say more).

"To compete with a school like Georgia is amazing,'' Jones said. "It's the big time.''

So is the bowl payoff. The multimillion dollar reward dwarfs Hawaii's recruiting budget of $50,000.

"Hopefully, it means we'll get some new carpet and new stuff in my office,'' Jones said.

I am hoping that UH wins, but I'm not going to undermine Georgia. However the smack talk and the snobbery of the SEC fans fuels me to hope that UH shows up big time come game day of the Sugar Bowl.

They're predicting a blowout by Georgia on Hawaii by the half. I so want to point and laugh if this goes in reverse.

Yeah... its gonna be a pain to be nice and put up with the BS for another month. But take it from an Ohioan, you don't wanna talk all big before the game. Blowouts can happen to anyone.... :awcrap:

I think our pass offense can score a lot of points.
I'm worried about Georgias run offense... we let UW run so much on us the first half, that I'm afraid Moreno or Brown will make our defense look bad.
But hey, its any given sunday! We can do it, go Bows!

being ANALytical:

UW scored most of their points on mistake on UH's behalf. 1 on the defense and 2 on the offense. Only 1 TD of UW has straight up outright and outdone our UH defense.

With that said in order to prevent an explosive scoring match in the beginning of the game, UH (both offense and defense) must ensure they don't make the same mistakes again. That 21 point 1st quarter is owed to UH's mistakes we did it to ourselves.

But I had a dream that UW was more of a competition than UGA. Please SEC fans underestimate our Warriors it'll make for a better game...........SWEET as SUGAR!.

right now the line for the game is Hawaii getting 10...the Illinois/USC game has Illinois getting 14!!!

All i gotta say is the o-line better step up their game. its proven if the defence of the opposite team is decent, they will get past our o-line. not to mention these guys are going to be faster and stronger than anyone they played. colt wont have time to look for open recievers.

oh and defence better step it up also. gotta believe

lol this is the time for all the travel agencies to hyper inflate all their prices...

heh and they wonder why people are defaulting on their home loans...it's b/c they waste money on this kinda stuff...$3000 to see a football game, I'll pass.
