Just finished watching the dvd, not bad, don't know much about the story though but overall pretty decent video. I liked final fantasy VII any other Dvd similar to this?

The original Appleseed movie. Frankly speaking, I managed to figure out that (plot point) had to do with how it turned into the shitstorm near the end.

And they seriously messed up a couple of the characters. Like Nike:

Ive never followed any kind of Anime series or show.

From a fresh perspective I enjoyed the storyline, artwork, and visual digital choreography of the fight/cut scenes.

I just watched this too. It's a pretty sick anime. I love the animation.

I just saw "Appleseed: Ex Machina" a couple of months ago. It was pretty good, but I liked the first one better. That being said: they are already on my short list of favorite anime(not like I've seen a lot) just by virtue of being Appleseed. They're ranked below "Ninja Scroll" and just ahead of "Bubblegum Crisis".

Both movies pale in comparison to the manga, however. If you liked the movies, you'll love the manga. Deunan is a bit more out-of-control and the characters are funnier.

If you guys liked Appleseed Ex Machina, you have to see Vexille. The two movies are remarkably similar. Both have the same kind of mind-blowing animation, both have very similar heroines, both have a lot of the same technology/weapons, etc. Appleseed Ex Machina was very good, but I liked Vexille better.
