Hello All!

Welcome to the fourth of our monthly arcade contests!

The winner will receive a free $25 gift card to Regal Dole Cannery 18 Theatres. Second Prize will be a Super Lap Series t-shirt!

The tournament will be ran depending on the amount of players...2, 4, or 8 players. If there's more than 8, we will have two individual tournaments, possibly more, with the winners squaring off against each other!

The game of choice will be Tetris!

Please be patient with us, as this is still a very new process! If you're interested, please post with your username below, thank you! We'll start once we have a good number of individuals signed up! Watch your PMs for the notification of the tournament start! Expected start date is Friday, December 8th, 2006.

Welps, I'll wait a bit if it means more people will join. Once the tournament starts, you'll have at least a week to finish it. It doesn't have to happen all at once...you can play whenever you're ready (within reasonable limits due to the fact you're making everyone else wait for you!).

I'm not sure why, but it shows your best score as 0. Describe what happened. Is it a problem on your end, or is it the tournament itself?

Are you letting it move forward after playing? It's an auto-submit game...

And yes...it should say don't reload this page...you should see Tetris waiting...it says play...you click on it...bam...it goes in and you should be able to play.

DON'T reload...or refresh...just play the game...and wait for it to autosubmit.

It worked for me...I'm not sure what the problem is. Anyways, I'm going through the tables in the database...I'll try to reset his plays back to 0, and he can have another go.

It was close, but I squeaked by with 1k more points. It got to the point where I almost gave up on lines, and just tried to get enough blocks down to get a few points over your score.

lol nice, i screwed up so badly on my first try. Then i kicked ass on my second...then gave up after clearing 3 lines on my 3rd try cuz i got sick of the game, especially cuz my comp doesnt have sound...yes, playing a game with no sound is very boring...congrats being the champ...so stacey...wanna go to the movies? lol:geekdance: :laugh1:

ROFL...Tetris doesn't have that great music from the old days...I still have that crap memorized.

The songs weren't that bad. The main one was good, and the third one was ok. Without them the original just wouldn't be the same. I just wish this version of the game changed levels based on the total number of lines you have, rather than at 10 no matter what level you started at. It eliminates one of the main strategies for playing. At least you can still do a nook twist.

Welps...one game I am going to see about replacing, is the current Joust. If I find a better Tetris one, I'll make sure to upload it as well.

Joust is an excellent game if you can find a decent version of it. Bubbles, Robotron, Satan's Hollow, and Tapper are also great arcade classics if you can find them. If there's a specific format you need, I might be able to dig up a few of them for you.

They have to basically be Flash files...and designed for either vbarcade or ibProArcade. If you see something you like, lemme know!
