had the PCHIH dyno day today and to my surprise my car put down some interesting numbers

it laid down a best of 172hp and 122 tq

only mods are Cold air intake and flowmaster muffler

pretty good compared to stock 164hp and 127tq supposedly but we all know those stock review numbers arent "REAL"

now am really looking at picking up that turbo kit or supercharger kit ive been eyeing out on! lol dammit! and when you think your done with your mods ...the car gods open up another door

Nvm, I checked HT Garage. Good job on the numbers, especially with just a CAI and a muffler; must be a noticeable bump. Too bad you don't have a baseline. Aren't the 2ZZs supposed to pull something like 130whp on a Dynojet chassis dyno?

a lot of crap on this car wasnt ment to be but toyota cut corners so save cost ...

clutch is a factory clutch that was never ment to handle 8k rpms, its a stock clutch they used on the lower model corollas. but in the Celica GTS they used a upgrade clutch which has the same motor i do. also the factory air box is so restrictive with a intake it opens up about 5hp

now am looking at maybe finally ordering that custom race headers some guys on the mainland pushed to have made... or maybe turbo kit? idk what to doo

2jz is the holy grail of toyota motors. not much imports out there are street legal and have 1k+ hp.

You would benefit a lot from an engine management system. You could be seeing an extra 10-20 WHP between 5500 and 6500 if your powerband were more linear. In other words, you could lop off several tenths of a second even if your peak numbers remain the same.

500 with just boltons is a great thing when you don't need internals. my friends dad bought a supra tt from oahu for 25k or so and it had 480whp with stock internals and some mods, 4 freaking inch piping for the exhaust. i heard it was a beast from the people who heard him just start it up

did he buy that one from the used car dealership in town? if so that wasnt a great buy from what ive heard from other supra owners...

but the supra is king of hill!! 6 cylinders of fury!

idk he bought that car a couple years back. silver supra tt with the 4 inch exhaust piping is all i remember. funny thing is that he almost lost to an accord on the highway, the went from a roll all the way to 160 and the accord was right on his ass. they said that car was one bad ass sleeper
