my 89 Dodge Ram50 (rebadged Mitsubishi Mighty Max) pickup truck needs to have it's clutch replaced... it's getting difficult to shift... sometimes it won't even go into 2nd gear (when you first start it). I haven't found any real adjustments except for say the pedals for this truck. (still have yet to find a shifter adjustment in my chilton manual...).
It gets easier to shift into gears after the truck warms up. It's about due for an oil change too. I figured I'd let them check the transmission fluid and gear oil while they have it for the oil change... but that's something else entirely.
My question is: Where is a decent priced place that anyone can recommend for me to go to? to have the clutch installed? I've priced the clutch by calling several different places and came up with $124.99 from Checkers. (I also called Napa, & Autoquest).
I'm going to check my bro-in-law too if he can help me out with this one. I'd rather pay him than someone else but a lot of the times he's just busy... so I've no choice but to go to someone else.
Truck info: 1989 Dodge Ram50 (same as Mitsubishi Mighty Max) pickup truck
2.0L 4cyl, 5spd.
Any suggestions, tips, advice? tyvm.
