Nissan electric cars in US and Japan by 2010.
Nissan, which a decade ago was on the brink of bankruptcy, is the first manufacturer to say it will sell mass market, all-electric vehicles worldwide.

Wow, they have that technology in development?? I'm pretty amazed, I thought they were going bankrupt.

Nah, they're doing okay with that shot in the arm from Renault they got back in the 90s. But there's a lot of evidence of cost-cutting in their product. Just ask Chronic how he feels about his V6 Altima.

That one is supposed to be able to run all electric for at least 40 miles and has a small engine to recharge in the case the charge is running low. Supposed to make 150mpg. I am not normally am early adopter though :) Let them figure out the bugs before I buy into it...
