you might not want it..(over 250K, and mine doesnt work eithier.. hahaha x_x).

how does your gauges look, btw? is it two pods? one for speedo, one for tach, a bunch of small ones for oil, temp, etc? or one big one? if its one big gauge cluster, it might be a motor that drives it...

im not exactly sure what drives my firebirds one, but i know my 97 camaro is a motor driven odometer.. not a cable drive...

no one services odometers in and of itselves, locally. i checked who does a service down here, but to have them service you with no down time requires a VIN.

i thought there was a shop in waipahu, just up the street from 4WP and ESH. i thought i saw a sign that said they do odometers - is that the one you were referring to?

otherwise, junkyard diving or ebay?

dunno. isn't "itself" the correct word for a singular, and perhaps "themselves" for a plural?

If you're feeling brave, take it apart. Maybe the gear for the odometer got misaligned. Or,it broke and you might be able to find a gear that size from something else, like a clock...

what was the name of the shop? when i called recently, the only local shop closed.

the shop that i contacted has a contract (?) w C&C so i don't want to say who it is, publically, just in case.

sorry - i have no idea what the shop is called. it used to have a big sign painted on the side of the building, or a big sign (didn't really pay much attention), and i think i saw speedometer/odometer repairs on it.

it's near 4WP and the old ESH Waipahu, just down the road from them. I think it's around Leokane St.

Last time i saw it was a while ago, when i installed the exhaust on my wife's van. dunno if it's still there, though.

if you look on the third gen sites it seems to be a common problem easy fix just a little time consuming. its the plastic j hooks that break inside the odometer you can replace it with thin gauge wire
