Remember to secure all windows and doors when nobody is home. I just had a burglary this morning and he came through an locked window. If there is a burglary, always call the police to file a report.

Didn't get much, except some costume jewlery. :furious:

my friend lived in makakilo... which i thought was a great upgrade from kalihi... until his car got broken into (twice!) and his townhouse once! they made away with mostly small stuff... like game consoles, gameboys, associated games, some $ & jewelry... they moved within a couple of years...

Altivec, was that locked window happen to be one of those glass jalousy types? I swear I hate those with a passion in regards to security.

Nope, wasn't the jelousy type. It's the sliding window type, with the screen on the outside. Very easy to break in with those type windows...now I know. This isn't the first time, the first time the burglar came through the sliding glass door which was open.

a cut 1" wood dowel works wonders for securing sliding windows...

i had one cut for each window of my old house. only downside is if you lock yourself out, the dowels make it impossible to break in...

whoa.. that sux man. its summertime and the kids get bored. we got a good neighborhood watch going on. my neighbor is HPD and he's been there for many many years. i work in the day, he works at night. we both have big dogs... i pitty the fool. :D

Yep, we did that for our houses in Cali and Texas.
