Any one know of a shop that widens wheels, here on 'Oahu?
I have a Marauder and would like to have the rear wheels widened to fit wider tires...
Thanks...

Didn't Freddy's off of Ward used to do that? Not sure if it would still be considered DOT approved though.
There's a few places in the states that do that for cheap....but they're up there.
edit: Sorry I just noticed you have alloys. I don't think anyone does that locally.

dunno about the alloys - i *heard* people with friends at PHNSY used to get their rims widened up there after hours. if you're a competent welder with the right equipment, you could probably pull it off yourself, too. not sure of the specifics, though, and exactly how you get the things to be even close to balanceable when you're done.
the gm top hat rally rims were popular candidates, as well as the corvette rallies when people were putting them on the monte SS and older camaros/chevelles/el caminos.
iirc, i think i saw a gm rally rim on a car many years ago that appeared to be widened out to about 15x12.
i think the mopar guys used to stretch/widen their rims too, no? iirc, there was a duster (or was it a cuda?) with widened mopar rallies.

No where here can do that I work I think... steelies you can widen, aluminum alloy is a totally different story! Freddies closed down, so one of the best shops in the nation is gone. :(

Thanks guys for your input...
Looks like I'am going to bite the bullet, and bring them in from the mainland...
The factory rims help distinguish the Marauder from any other GM...
Looking to get that front end up in the air!!!
Thanks Again guys...
