This video has just been released detailing the focus of the Legislative Bills SB1734 & HB994. It's an extremely informative video designed to detail the importance of the bills themselves, and the different phases, construction, & design of the new World Class Facility to be built if the bills pass.

This is basically a sample of exactly what we'll be getting for Oahu, if we all step up to the plate and throw our weight behind the new motorsports facility.

So why is everyone under the impression that supporting a bill for tax credits (used to build a new facility) means not supporting the use of our current track at all?

Can't both be done; or will the city / state only allow tax credits to build a new facility if there is no existing racetrack at all?

The video was a nice change from the beetch n whine sessions that I hear the meetings were. I think it could have been polished slightly more, but still it's a solid effort.

I was diggin the '70s porn soundtrack in the background. :afro:

Mike your disneyland chat filter is killin me! :)

I was thinking the same thing. They've got an interesting thread over at FH about this.

The only problem I have with SORT is that they're not all for all of us...they're just against having MO at the helm. They're not holding all the cards, they don't know the future, noone really does. All I've heard is rumor & speculation coming from their camp...at least MO doesn't spread rumors at all. He says what he wants to say, and that's it. The SORT guys have pretty much tried to kill the bills from Day 1...simply because MO's name is attached to it...if they had left the bills alone that some of us have been working hard to push for, then they would have had my support.

I personally don't care WHO the affiliate is, or why they bought (if that's even true), or what they plan to do with it...that's business and that's the way things freakin' work. And half the time, when someone defends themselves or their beliefs, members of SORT basically just talk smack (see the post by xursaibobx and the response by Dirt Racer).

It's just ridiculous...they've got something they've thought about maybe for...what...two months? Versus something MO has been working on for YEARS. What do they have that's concrete? MO has the plans, the designs, the investors lined up, etc...yadda yadda.

I know where I'm standing...its with the one that I think is feasible. And the one that costs taxpayers the less money, along with NOT seizing someone else's LAND. That's just plain messed up.
