Hello all,
I plan to start revamping areas of the site. I'm looking for people that are interested in helping to revamp the RPG and make it even more interesting with new features you can't find anywhere else.
I need people with experience in coding in PHP, HTML, CSS, and Flash and that are comfortable figuring things out. I can also use people that have good art skills, new ideas, suggestions, and volunteers to test it all out.
Let me know if anyone is interested.

I'm willing to help test it, but that's about all I can do. My coding knowledge doesn't go much farther than BASIC.
By the way, thanks for canceling that battle. :gapteeth:

LOL...I noticed there were quite a few. I guess people forgot that I can cancel for them.
That's stuff that I want to fix, really...but I'm thinking of revamping the entire way HT works, and making the RPG a more interesting part of it.

Okayz...once I finish the header redesign of the site, and the advertisement side, this is what we're going to do next. I think I should have the advertising stuff done in about a month. Just think about what you think would be cool...then we'll pick from the ideas and see what we can do to implement it.

also allow auto-accept battle on all players. That's why none of us play it, cuz noone wants to fight.
Take it off so I can slap lois around, lol...

I think one of the keys would be randomness. Studies have shown a bit of randomness increases the desire to repeat their actions (ala gambling in vegas). Also, having distinct/different ways to make money etc is always good. Skills or jobs to earn cash that are unique or take a while to learn would be great. Customization and randomness throughout the site would be cool. Like you have to get certain points/items from other places in the forum not only the RPG game. Maybe enemies drop hard to get items during battles or they can be obtained through posting. Just some ideas.

I like the ideas presented. I'm already looking at the code now, and figuring out how the current RPG works.
I do think that text based would be something we could add to it, but I don't want it to become a ripoff of LPC or any other game. But a combination of those assets would be nice.
I think that we could implement some new things...such as towns, make the stores more interesting when buying, the overall graphics, make the battles more interesting, and perhaps, if we can figure it out, do some questing? I like the idea of making the entire forum integrated into it.

not trying to rip off lpc, text based is just less off a PITA to play.

Yeah randomness...what KenTwo said.
Make it totally random. And eliminate the whole leveling thing. Make it more based on randomness rather than whose got higher level and better stuff.
Its all about random.

I like having to level to get stronger but I don't like how long it takes, it's too time consuming.

Anything going on with this?
I think as we can see from LPC, we like the idea of getting some benefit from donating, but not an overwhelming edge that LPC provides.
