The anime adaptation of Mugen No Jyunnin (Blade of the Immortal). The manga was really quality stuff, but the anime which is currently running in Japan, is terrible. The animation quality is horrible, the storytelling is awful, the soundtrack sucks, and the art is a pale reflection of Hiroaki Samura's incredibly detailed work.
I know any adaptation can't ever be the same given that every medium - paper, tv, movie, has its own dynamic, but geez, at least do it some justice.
