LONDON (AP) - David Beckham, the former England soccer captain known as much for his style as his play, has agreed to leave Real Madrid and join the Los Angeles Galaxy in a deal Major League Soccer hopes will boost the sport in the United States in a manner similar to Pele's arrival with the Cosmos in 1975.

It's all about the Benjamins. $300M over 5 years I think. A-Rod is getting $305M, and I think that's currently the biggest contract.

I hope it does some good for the sport. Football (Not American Football) is popular the world around...yet here in the US it seems to be popular only until you're 10. :(

Scientology is seriously the lamest crap I've ever read about in my life. Nuts.

Scientology is just as wacky as most "mainstream" religion in my opinion. I do like the alien bit though - that's some good funny right there. :)

It's not my job to be mysterious. ;) I am what I am, said Mr Popeye.

I try to leave no doubt where I stand on things. That way people don't have to tiptoe around me and all that BS.

*tip-toes* *earth shakes* :gapteeth:

It's better that way, IMHO. Too many snakes in the grass for my taste.

Supposedly, John Travolta reached the highest level of Scientology. He apparently has the power to kill humans with thought alone..

You have got to be shittin' me. No f*cking way. This is absolutely unbelievable. Incomprehensible. Mind-boggling. Truly astonishing. I had no idea LA had a soccer team.

SNL had a snippet during "Weekend Update" that went kinda that way... blah blah blah, to the LA Galaxy, which apparently exist. Hahahah. :)

John Travolta is a Mind Ninja! Dude... ok...

Chuck Norris vs John Travolta. Damn. Now how's that for a matchup? I mean - I would have handed it to Chuck hands down before I knew about the mind laser stuff that Travolta can do.
