I am a Chevy fan, but for investment purpose the mustang smokes the camaros.
What do the mustang enthusiast see as the best aftermarket mustang?

Roush
Saleen
Shelby.
or ?

STRICTLY FOR MONEY MAKING INTEREST.

had a Shelby and Saleen. but looking to buy or get into it again.

Saleen all the way.

saleen or roush. the new shelby gt500's have stock gt brakes and suspension and the roush one which has quite a bit less hp than it donked the living bejeezus out of the shelby

not for personal use though. for investment purpose.
RARITY!

then the shelby gt500kr*i think it was a kr or whatever the hell it was* would be the best investment.

looking at a 07' hertz vert right now. rarity is what i like more then performance, not a everyday driver for me.

forgot about the hertz ones. iirc more rare than the shelby and they have some killer performance

in order of rarity Saleen Gurney Sig Edition (300), Shelby KR (1000), Roush 427R Trak Pak (your GT + 29k)...

if you can get your hands on one above a racing team then FR500GT3, FR500C and FR500s

I am trying to get the Exact production on the 07 hertz. 100 -250 units.
was it 250 06 and 250 07' or 100 07'

want a factory numbered stang' not a after market serial numbered stang'. I KNOW the hertz isnt as fast, but its all about rarity.

LOL! you mentioned Saleen and Roush in the OP...

But for strict rarity go with the FR cars... only about 80 of the FR500S have been made...

in 2006 they announced 500 total GT-H units would be produced, so probably 250/250

i seen the Saleen with "numbers" but i just dont know how serious the serial numbers are?

i wanted to have a pair of the hertz one coupe and on vert, but stupid me sold the coupe thinking i could get one more later, NOW THEY ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND!..ffffffffk I have the oppurtunity to buy the Verts for about what i sold my coupe, the coupes are more expensive now. ffffk

They are very serious... Saleen keeps the records clean much like shelby did/does with his mustangs and you will have legit documentation from Saleen blessed by Ford.

I'm partial to this mustang cause DG is the shit!!!

Wow. I didn't even know that they did a re-release of the ol' Hertz Shelbys!

I'd tend to agree (not being a die-hard collector, just more of a casual observer/fan)... since you aren't going to thrash the car, boy, all of them look so good, but the Shelbys tend to have more common appeal, just by name association.

All those Mustangs look great (and I'm sure can perform even better). You have a tough decision to make. :)

Gosh, but that Saleen with the Boss 302 striping motif.... very, very cool. That would score points with collectors. I like "flashback" cars (except the last-gen Thunderbird...what a disappointment.)

In Saleen's defense, they are considered the manufacturer of the car, not Ford. A Saleen isnt a aftermarket job, it is a full production car from their shop.

Couldnt wait for the Challenger? A Challenger R/T with the shaker hood scoop would be the hotness.

i love chargers. especially white ones or black ones. if you're able t get the hertz stang and can do so without going broke then go for it. seems lke it'll be a pretty good investment down the line

Challengers cost too much right now. just any SRT8 for now and the Charger was available for a decent price.. Still thinkin of the GT-H Stang' .

damn i'd be hurting if i did that. well like i said if you can afford the gt-h then get it. i think it would be a good investment for the future.

Historically, the Hertz Shelbys have been very good investments as there were relatively few compared to regular Shelbys. The current one has some weird warranty that Hertz has to honor. Get in touch w/ Don Johnston from the Mustang Club as he knows the details behind it. It has something to do with Hertz Hawaii has no one certified to do the repairs so they have to ship the car to the mainland.

One thing collectors like are factory cars like the Shelby over aftermarket stuff like Saleen and Roush. The factory only makes XX cars while aftermarket can keep making them.

Shelby = Senile Old Bastard that is only on life support fueled by Money.
Roush = NASCAR. Need I say more?
Saleen = Founder doesn't even work for the company anymore!!!

for investment purpose, Shelby KR. he beats out Roush and Saleen for history w/ the Mustang and will make the resale more. but i prefer to enjoy driving it, for that i would get a GT500 and drop in a whipple 3.4, make bigger power than a super snake for a fraction of the price.:burnoutgif:
