omg. :eyepop: that car was butchered! :cripple: :boot2:
no car should deserve that!
well... actually i know a couple that do...
but that's a different story :scream:
an interesting fact is that forum had 4k plus visitors online yesterday, the most that forum ever had (due to this thread probably). :pile:

Yea, that guy is a Zilvia regular. I can't believe the guy body working the car could even consider that done... Talk about crappy service, double stick tape would have done a better job.
I really liked the "bracket" made from a broken piece of wood -___-

i know of a few back yard mechanics that could've done a better job...
in fact, i could've done a better job...
it just takes me forever... which is why i don't have my own shop.
i'd rather drive anyhow. :crazydriver:
i sure hope the car owner will get his car fixed.
i wonder what happened though?
some did say he did good work?
so is his good works the norm?
or are the bad works (like this obvious one) the norm?
.
perhaps he had help on the jobs that he did that was considered 'good'?
just food for thought...

Bawahaha nice, I never really thought about that. He probably needed a place to hide the bad paint matching :awcrap:
The new 370z is supposed to rival Porsches, but I just hope they fix the new 240...

The 370z is ugly IMO. They took a 350z, shortened the wheel base and did the retarded thing with the headlights (like the new maxima).
As for what happened, this guy paid someone $260 to get a body kit painted and installed. So basically, he cheaped out and expected something professional. Yes he has shown that the guy is capable of doing good work but that doesn't really matter if his work ethics are fcked up and he just hands the car off to someone who knows squat about painting and installing body kits.

Yea, I dont agree with the new maxima headlights, but I like it more than the 350.
I dont understand why it costs so much just to repaint and install body parts. It's not that hard to do. Color matching is even easier since you can use a computer now. Plus, it wasnt even a full body kit, just a lip kit. Thats even easier to put on, considering you just need to have everything line up to the OEM parts. According to the thread, the guy doing the bodywork was supposedly "well-known," but I guess he started scamming people and half assing his work.
Another instance was with someone in Japan. He liked Mike's good work so he paid for a plane ticket to paint two of his cars in Japan. 2 weeks later, Mike finishes and takes off back home. The guy in Japan finds a lot of things wrong with the cars and to make a long story short, he sold the parts in the cars and scrapped them. He demanded a refund of the plane ticket and labor. Mike has only paid him back about 500 to this day. This happened earlier this year.

Zhanshi, thanks for the pics and links to the 370 :)

Painting alone would've costed over $260. It was $200 to paint my front bumper and $250 to paint my rear bumper....and that was with hook ups.
I do like how the 370z is shorter, but I just don't like any of the detail they put on the car.
