I'm putting a few things off, but since I have to go meet with Tom B. tomorrow, I figure I can try and knock out the installation of this little bad boy.

Props to Munkywurks for giving me a great deal on this SARD Fuel Pressure Regulator and adapter. I also got hooked up with a Setting Meter for it...which will come in handy since right now, I'm running pig rich, and the car dies after a bit of idle. :(

I hope the install goes easy...it'll be harder taking the whole UIM off to get to it than it will to install it, methinks. Wish me luck!

Welps...it all went in...got it done in about half a day...but one of the A/N fittings isn't tapered and is slightly too small, so I had a leak in the return line section of the FPR. Suxs.

So...I've gotta go pick one up from Hydra-Air tomorrow. Dangit. I just want to have it running again! So frustrating!

Such is life huh! Glad to see you getting that thing back together. I need to get my car on the road soon too. Just waiting for the insurance. Then I can get the plates. Procratination is my worst enemy.:afraid6:

Man...the registration penalty is going to be huge for me. It's still registered, but it's past due like since October. :(

Dangit! Reminds me . . . gotta get rid of the FC which also has past registration fees due. Was going to ask $200 just for someone to take it away.

FC TII? I should use that rear end/tranny for the miata, but it requires a lot of custom work.

AX, good luck on getting it started, I know how projects like that are.. :)

FC huh. Does it run? What kind of shape is it in? I might be interested in a project.

Welps...the bad boy is up and running, it just has a rough idle problem we're trying to get situated, and for some reason my fans aren't coming on till the water temp is at 226 degrees. I gotta look up if that's normal operating temperature. I'll post a vid in a second for it...

Other than that, when on the throttle, it revs up smooth, no black or white smoke, and we're ALMOST there. It just needs tuning, I think.

It runs great, but it won't start up on it's own initially. We've been pull starting it. I think there maybe a relay problem or something. Once it starts up, you can shut the engine off and it will restart on it's own. It's not a TII, it does have the 5 lugs though. I think it's a GTX or something. the interior is maroon and if cleaned up it will be in fairly good shape except for the dash. I would spend the time to fix it up, but I just want to get rid of it, along with a whole bunch of other sh!t. Anybody interested in: FD fiberglass fenders (new), FD downpipe, Kawasaki 1,100cc jetski w/trailer, chainlink fence, vinyl fence, credit card machines, grease guns, '93 accord rear wing, solvent tanks, engine diagnostic machine, SCCA legal '83 RX7, automotive paints, work benches, desks, etc . . .

. . . . oh, back to Mike's FD. Watching Jin-san do his magic with a laptop--in the passenger seat--while I was driving--tuning the ECU--with no license plates or hood through CIP, was something else. Geez, with all the problems we had like the temperature sensor periodically giving a misreading and causing the motor to die to the boost dropping off, I think Jin-san actually set the fuel mixture, injector timing and ignition timing all throughout the rpm range. The only thing we didn't do is the load settings. I was totally amazed!

(off topic) hey, we have spell check now! Or is it that I'm using a different browser?

Er...I think we've always had it spell check.

Jin freakin' blew my mind...that guy knew his shiat. It was amazing. I just need to fix a few things, and swap some parts out...and I think I'll be good. The car is much, MUCH, better than it was. Pretty incredible to watch him tune it.

did he use a hammer?

No...he just used a laptop. My Throttle Control Solenoid was bad...he just popped it off and tuned it without it. Freakin' incredible!

Er...I think we've always had it spell check.

. . . but it never worked when I was on explorer. Now that I'm using Mozilla Firefox, it's does it automatically like MS word.

Back to Jin . . . it's his dealers license that gets him all the software to do that stuff. I never knew about injector timing.

I take it some (or all) of this stuff is at the lot? Might be interested in the Jetski
