Star Wars: Battlefront, eat your heart out...Galaxy At War Mod for OPF!

Hmm..this might interest a few SW fans...a total conversion using the Operation Flashpoint engine...it's still WIP (alotta the models & ground features aren't textured yet, and there's alotta duplicate stuff), but it looks quite interesting. Make sure you check out the screenshots thread, as the number of screenshots are huge. Unlike Star Wars: Battlefront, it really gives SW a gritty looking feel, rather than the cheezy, small-time battles in SW:BF.

I'm going to be watching this mod...if it can incorporate the realistic feeling of OPF, only with the SW universe, I think it'd be really enjoyable. You can tell they're doing some hard work on the modeling, espescially the texturing on the ships and equipment.

IMHO, it looks better than SW: BF already in alotta ways.

The flight dynamics look decent...check out the explosions in this movie! The sound effects are great!

I love Star Wars. I still remember seeing "Episode 4" in the theater. Hell, I even liked Episode 1 & 2.

I played SWG for a while but it quickly became "wash, rinse, repeat." I love all the music though - and the environment was pretty cool. I just don't have the time to dedicate to it.

I tried playing SWG, too, but leveling up just took too much freakin' time...it sure was pretty though. Kinda neat, bumping into Darth Vader, and getting killed by his stormtroopers. :D
