I really like this article since it was well written. I also like how he used metaphors to relate his experiences with some daily things we encounter. One notable idea he mentioned was how people are fascinated by the glory of war but do not really know its true natures since they haven't experienced it. He compared that idea to why people like to watch reality shows and other adrenaline pumping programs. It's as if he's saying people want to experience the rush and adrenaline of things without having to deal with the risks or consequences, sorta how some people retell other people's experiences and pass it off as their own.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this article since it was a pretty good and thought provoking read. It opened my mind to what soldier go through in wartimes. Not only do they go to war, they bring it back with them since it has been incoroprated into their day to day lives everyday they are there.

Brilliant article. I found this line interesting:

Any fondness for war is tainted by the practicalities of operating and surviving in combat.

Edit: I'm not trying to be facetious or anything, but I scored my highest yet on Pacman after reading that article.
