You need to come over and try GT4 with the steering wheel...it's pretty trick!

for HDTV...yah, it makes a big difference. My neighbor has an HDTV and hast the cables...theirs a BIG difference in clarity. I have the HDTV cables too but no HDTV...it's a waste if you dont have HDTV. I was supposed to buy a 30" LCD but ended up getting the turbo instead :dancingnaughty:

well right now, im using an s15 with an RB26 swap and all professional up grades...the car i would start with is an s14 with moderate power...as far as suspension use what you would use on a "Real" drift car it works...and use the ebrake to get sideways

Ok... I'm still practicing with this stuff, but it's pretty fun... How far have you guys progressed with Forza (level) and I agree we should have a competition sometime.....

GT4 != Forza.

Hell, GT4 doesn't even have online play! :) ...and I was a *huge* Polyphony Digital fanboy.

I wish I still had my Xbox. Dammit... I tried Forza in the Xbox360 and it ran like absolute crap. Oh well. C'est la vie. Hopefully Forza 2 comes out this year. ...with better car editor stuff. I had a friggin blast making my own paint schemes and stuff.

I'm at level 41, closing in on 42 while racing in the S-Class. I still have to find a car that fits my gameplay for the classics series on Laguna Seca. I've been using the Ferarri Dino pretty much througout the series...but it doest have enough power to match it's finese on Laguna.

Do you guys use ABS, TCS, and STM? I dont use either, and I have my AI at simulation. probably why my levels go up so fast. My favorite car at the moment is the Ferarri Challenge F355, with all the bells and whistles.

Yeah, the Challenge Stradale was a frickin rocket. The only thing I had turned on was ABS. I figure that's reasonable 'cause you can't feel what the car is doing.

I love the Porsche 911 RS also. The old one (I think it was a 73)

Just made level 39 and just won my Exige so I could finish that level. Now I'm working on winning the Cobra and moving on to level 40... most favorite car? I think the Ferrari 360, but it understeers a bit on the entry into corners.... once you figure out how to swing the ass end around a little it seems to be one of the better handling and balanced cars around

I remember a while back we talked about setting up a GT3 / Forza video game racing event. We could do a drifting competition if there were enough people to enter. Are there enough people into GT3 / Forza drifting to do this?

I'm sure Kahala Mall could use some events there to generate more business, especially after their flood incident. It would be interesting to set up a large TV by the fountain and run a video drift tournament like how we run our regular drift events.

Since the track is closed for now, we need to find new ways to keep drifting top of mind for the general public. Any ideas?

I just tried Forza again on the Xbox360. Apparently the released another patch - runs like it should now. No online play, but still it's a blast to jam around in. I heard that Forza 2 is going to be announced at this year's E3 conference.

Have a tandem drift comp with forza hehe! but i like the physics in forza better than GT4(sorry GT4 fans/enthusiast)btw i run s14, s15, altezza, and 350. i got one sr s15 professional upgrades. one RB s15 773 hp (powers out like crazy) one RB s14 773 hp (less wild than the RB s15) the altezza 3sgte all professional upgrades and tuned suspension(stiff) a RB25 s14 and one SR s14

Forza is my fave racing game, but it's a little difficult for me. I have everything turned on, ABS, TCS, S&M whatever, cause I suck, and tweaking the cars too much is confusing.

The only thing I really don't like about the game is the camera angles. I don't like the over-the-car angle, because I feel disconnected from what the car is doing, but I don't like the bumper cam either, cause I can't see the road ahead good enough. I wish they had a nice in-between angle that put it at actual driver height. Something like an in-car cam like the Toca Driver games have.

I would tend to believe that Forza 2 is going to give us the glorious in-car views that PGR3 did. They're both Microsoft Game Studios projects. Mmmm...tasty chicken. :)

I use the in-car camera angle all the time and am kind of used to it now.

I'm all for group event sometime that would be a blast!.

I've got all the driver aids turned off except for the preferred line since that seems to be the most critical element to a fast lap time. No ABS... you gotta pump the brakes and listen (feel) for the lockup.

I finally completed (won) the Cobra class championship... that was tough, but have come to the GT4 Championship and am trying to get used to the speed and feel of the 4 wheel drive Subaru.

I'm curious... does anyone have a lap record for Nurbergring I coud shoot for?

God I had forgotten about that damn Cobra championship. I had to start over, so I'm sure that'll be on the 'not so fun' list in the future again!
