Hey guys 'n gals - if you're not doing anything this coming Sunday, come out and check out all the cool British cars. The (something-th) annual British Car Day is held by the British Car Club of Hawaii down at the corner of Monsarrat and Pake, just mauka of the Shell...right there at Kapiolani park in Waikiki. The show starts at 9am and runs to 3pm. No charge to come and walk around. It's $5 to show your car if you've got a British Car. No concourse d' elegance event (thankfully) - just British Car enthusiasts.
In the past there have been some *really* cool Brit cars there. Everything from pre-war 1930s MGs to the latest Lotus Elise and new MINI. This year there should be at least 3 or 4 Classic Minis too. :)
I'll be there with my soon-to-be-restored 1966 Austin Mini Cooper S. The guy that bought my '71 Mini will be there as well as another guy with a nice Rover Mini Cooper from Japan. I'm hoping to get a few others down there too.
...there was also an original AC Cobra as well as a Sunbeam Tiger, a Lotus Europa, Elan, Esprit... some old Range Rovers, ...just a bunch'a cool stuff.
