hahahah i'm for reals. ok so how does it work for front plates.(this has nothing to do with my car since i have a front plate on it)
if you buy a car i.e. is350 that does not have any of the pre made holes on the bumper do you still have to ruin your expensive front bumper and drill holes into that were not ment to be there from the factory? will the state pay for your front bumper if your moving to the mainland and there is no front plate laws in that state since hawaii made you drill into a bumper that was never intended to have a front plate.
next do bikers need to have a front plate i never see any street bike or road bike with a front plate? what makes them so special to be able to by pass that law and not cars?
again this was all in my dream and since i can still remember it i posted it hahahahaha :urlaub:

most toyotas come from the factor with 2 dots on the front bumper...these dots show the exact spot for the plates...and yes you need to use some screws and screw it on....
haha front plates on a motorcycle....that would look so retarded lol....

Yups, they usually have 2 dimples that show you where you have to drill on the front bumper cover. Some vehicles just use self tapping screws, other have threaded inserts behind the dimples...

Funnay, 3 Servco workers ^ ^^ ^^^
3 SERVCO WORKERS...slackin!
anyway. you don't HAVE to drill holes. be creative...all that is required is that it is "securely mounted".
motorcycles...are issued only one plate and only one plate is required (obviously :D )

You are issued 2 plates from the DMV. you are required by law to "securely mount" the 2 plates, one in the front and the other in the rear. Other than a vehicle that was registered out of state and further providing that that specific state only issues 1 plate AND you have the blue out-of-state permit stuck to your rear bumper.
Hawaii New Car Dealers are "REQUIRED" to have a mounting place available for the front plates. However some dealers "bend" to the wishes of their customers by not mounting the front plate to the vehicle or even not installing the front plate mount.
ALL manufactures make some mount or provision for a front plate, whether it is a dimple and screw or a mounting bracket/plate they all have it. It may come from the factory that way or it may need to be dealer installed...
Well, maybe some exotic cars may not have it, but if you can afford a $+100K car a $70 citation isn't gonna dent your pocket much...
§249-7 Number plates
(b) ...The owner shall securely fasten the number plates on the vehicle, one on the front and the other on the rear, at a location provided by the manufacturer or in the absence of such a location upon the bumpers of the vehicle and in conformance with section 291-31...
§291-31 Tail lights on vehicles, motorcycles and motor scooters.
(a) ...where a registration number plate is required by law to be carried on the rear thereof, the same shall be illuminated by a white light...

At least they didn't charge you 75 dollars for the bracket itself. That's how much mine cost. Just to pass Safety, I had to get one. :wtf:

Your lucky that wasn't me... I would be like... WTF is this guy serious?!?!
How many citations can I issue to this sucker...:police:
BUT, I rember back in the day (HS days) I did a similar "race" with a 5.0 Stang. At the next light the window dropped and it was a Police Officer in uniform. No light bar on the car he just shook his head and scolded me. I though I was gonna get busted for sure.

best one for me:
I had an s-10 extreme w/ the front plate cover. I drilled 2 holes in the license plate, so i could put the cover OVER the license plate.
I got pulled over from this lady cop on H2. while she was checking my rear plates, i went to the front to take the cover off, and when she went to the front, she was like wtf? I saw her kind of scratching her head, and then she let me go and told me to have a nice day....
