Your management. Your Life. Ever come across something that got you thinking, "how ridiculous" one day, and become your holy grail the next? It did for me, and a million others around the world. Yep, you probably heard about it; the "craze" about a year and a half ago when "mac heads" camped up in front of AT&T for a piece of technology that has become a controversy in itself, while becoming nearly a HYPE in the technology world. Now, introducing the new and improved (sorta) iPhone 3G! Now, if you're not a big techy fan, then by now you're probably scratching your head thinking, "Why in the WORLD would I pay 200 to 300 dollars for a freaking phone?!?!?!" Good question; I use to ask that myself--until I took the LEAP in hopes of proving others wrong. Not only have become addicted to this piece of art and brilliance, but I can now approve the typical iPhone owner's motto: "Once you get one, you will never want another phone AGAIN! Period." In the following review, I will go in depth as to why I am putting this phone on the pedistool. It is beyond any other's phone's innovations, and could possibly be the most amazing hunk of junk that I have ever laid my hands on, with a few honest drawbacks about it as well. First of all, this phone features the most clearest and biggest screen resolution on a phone out there, TODAY! With it sporting a 3.5inch screen (diagonally) and it's power to support 30 frames per second, with an amazing 640x480 resolution. Please go out and find me a phone that comes anywhere CLOSE to that. Not only with it's beautiful contrast that it projects at you, this I believe, is the only touch-screen phone with an actual GLASS screen. Now you're thinking, why is that better? Would you rather have cheap ABS plastic, or glass? In the past, I have owned about 4 touch screen phones: Palm Treo 755p, LG Voyager, Palm Centro, and the LG Dare: All with screens made out of plastic; Want know how long those screens lasted? Not long. My Palm Treo was replaced 4x within the year, and the LG Voyager's screen inked from a baby puppy being on my lap with the phone in my pocket. Have you ever wished you could do everything with ONE tool? Now you can. With programs such as money management, creative calender, stocks exchange, recipe book, notepad, movie listings, paypal, ebay, international translator, and the ever-so amazing Pandora, which is no doubt the best internet radio ever. Want to know the best part? All of the programs I had listed are FREE. Yes, it takes about 10 seconds to download each of them via AppStore, which is a by user-for-user type of market where your life-saving tools can run from nothing to a few bucks, typically. There's also those useless tools that puts your accelerometer to use such as "pouring the fake beer" with your phone, to very cool programs such as ODB I and II via iPhone to troubleshoot and tune your cars, along with acceleration reviews and point-of-turn angles. The userability of this? Simple. I don't think it takes a genuis to learn how to use one. It does have a learning curve though, but if you want to stay in the 21st century, then you wouldn't mind spending some time figuring things out. The touch-screen features is by-far the best in the market with it's ultra-sensitive scrolling which makes this phone incredible. Now there are so many great things I want to tell you, but we do need to move on. I hate to do this, but in all honest reviews, there are always the cons. It isn't major, but once fixed, this could possibly the only phone i'll ever have for the rest of my life. Battery life--yes, it sucks; better than the first generation iPhone, but by-far the biggest downfall of this god-like phone. So much potential, so much potential.. With an estimation of 300 stand by time, 5 hours of talk time on 3g, and 10 hours on 2g, the numbers are really unrealistic. With about a few hours of web browsing, playing a few of my favorite games and checking my email constantly--the battery usually quit out on me usually before the night ends. Luckily, I carry a car charger and my phone works all through the day. Unable to send MMS--see, this isn't a really BIG downfall since I could do it via email-to-phone.. which isn't a big deal, but still a hassle since I cant recieve picture messages unless they send it to me via email as well. Example: Verizon customers--you send them via email, "number@vzwpix.com".. which is fine with me! Lack of total customization--yes, one of the minor drawbacks of this phone is that with it's full potential to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, it wont let itself be. You can't put pictures on your main spring board, use it as a modem, to run multiple programs at once, or having different themes UNLESS you jailbreak it, which is a form of hacking on your iphone. The bad? It voids your warranty if you do. Invidividual plans are for the spoiled, or phone lovers--literally. The cheapest plan (450 minutes) with unlimited texting will cost you nearly a hundred bucks! Luckily for me, I am on a family plan and only pay half of that.. Be ready to cough out a hundred and change to enjoy the goodies. So all in all, this phone is by far the greatest piece of junk I have ever laid my hands on. I can't stop going on it. Email at an instant! Visual voicemail! Myspace without using my internet explorer! Just so many amazing things that are currently available and so many more to come each day. My advice? Get it now. I will guarantee you that if you can afford it, you will never go back to your pink Razor, or Crackberry ever again. It's only 200 dollars for the 8gb which is only in black, and 300 dollars for the 16gb which comes in black or white. If you got the needs for it, do it. If you don't, then you might possibly pull your hair out trying to figure things out. This is the phone of the new century and I can guarantee you that you will be satisfied the moment you touch it. Elegant and Durable; how often do you hear those two words together? HAPPY iPHONE HUNTING! After waiting 3 years since Ghost Reveries, Opeth comes back with a great, albeit not their best album. Their first release with their new drummer Martin Axenrot (I dunno, Opeth must like to always have more than one Martin in their band haha!). Martin had a tough job, he had to just as good if not better than Martin Lopez. IMO I wouldn't say that he's better or worse, I'll just say that he brings his own style nicely, I'm pleased. The album might be a bit too mellow for some of the hardcore death metal types, and Mikael does a lot of clean singing (which I prefer) and not as much growling. The first song sets the mood nicely, it's one of those songs that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, especially when I heard a female voice singing, a first for Opeth. The rest, it almost feels like a concept album but I can hear some hints of old school Opeth "My Arms, Your Hearse", a nice dose of "Damnation" and some of the heaviness of "Deliverance". Who will like this album? I'll say even if you're not into death metal and if a 10 minute prog song gets on your nerves, I would say you will still like this album. It has beautiful arrangements, crazy time signatures and complexity for the prog lovers, and balls to the wall heavy death metal stuff. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. twowheels Tue, 21 Oct 2008 00:54:45 -1000 Warner Brothers Pictures http://www.hawaiitalks.net/reviews/showproduct.php?product=11 <a href="http://www.hawaiitalks.net/reviews/showproduct.php?product=11"= target="_blank">

by: ArchangelX

Description: When corporate mogul Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) and mechanic Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) wind up in the same hospital room, the two terminally ill men bust out of the cancer ward with a plan to experience life to the fullest before they kick the bucket. I will tell you one thing; this will kick your ass like you would never believe if you happen to be out of shape. And if you're in respectable level of fitness, it should still kick your ass. What do you get for $120? 12 DVD's with over an hour of intense workouts each, a fitness guide with a progress calendar, and one of the easiest to follow nutrition guides I've ever read (and I still can't follow a damn diet). You will do from intense upper-body workouts, to kenpo, to yoga, and the love to hate, AB Ripper-X. When I say intense, I mean it. Each DVD is at least an hour long, the yoga DVD is over 90 minutes long and if you think yoga is easy, you're up for a very rude awakening because it is by far the hardest one of the DVD's IMO. I am on my 10th day and I'm already feeling better and stronger. Still struggling, but definitely an improvement from last week. What do you need? A pull-up bar (Iron Gym bar works great for me) A full set of dumbells (that is from 15 pounds all the way to at least 75 in 5 pound increments) or a set of resistance bands which is what I use, I bought mine at wal mart for like 12 bucks. A heart rate monitor (sports authority has a finger-ring monitor for like 30 bucks), a yoga mat and blocks if your ass is not flexible and some supplements like muscle milk or creatine or whatever floats your boat. What makes this system have such a high success rate? Two words: Muscle Confusion. What's muscle confusion? It's kinda like it sounds, when you work out, your muscles start to respond to the stress and unfamiliar movements and they adjust accordingly. Unfortunately, this can lead to what it's known as a "plateau". A plateau is what happens when your muscles are used to the workout and have adjusted to it. The result? You stop seeing results, and no matter how hard you work, you will see very little to no results once your body reaches that plateau. What P90X does, is that keeps your body guessing. Just when your body starts to figure out the movements and starts to adjust, the whole routine changes and your body is introduced to a whole plethora of new moves and intensity. The result? Well, true results, you'll burn fat quicker, you'll build muscle faster and you'll get in an overall level of fitness you thought was impossible for you to achieve. Maybe it's too early for me to give a review but if I have survived the first two weeks and I'm still sticking to it, then I should be able to go through the full 90 days. Highly recommend for anyone that's up for the challenge. Highly recommend if you want a pull up bar that can be installed just about anywhere. twowheels Thu, 09 Oct 2008 03:38:23 -1000 Lucasarts http://www.hawaiitalks.net/reviews/showproduct.php?product=8 <a href="http://www.hawaiitalks.net/reviews/showproduct.php?product=8"= target="_blank">

by: ArchangelX

Description: This entry in the Star Wars saga casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice", unveiling new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.
