My very First Ride was a '72 Dodge Charger I bought from Mr. Izumigawa when I worked Summer Hire in Okinawa at Housing Supply at what is now known as Camp Kinser. I don't have any pics, because I took all the pictures of the car with my Girlfriend at the time and the Ex-Wife was a very jealous soul and tore them up and burned them. Driving around Oki in a '72 Charger was pretty cool!

My second car I do have pictures of and it was a really cool ride! A GTR Badged 2.6 Liter Nissan Skyline. Tri-weber setup (I miss that sound). I do have pics of this one! Yay!!! This car was fast for its era. Can anybody tell me where the tail lights came from. I've forgotten after all these years. The tail lights were Tommy's Idea.
Beautiful car!

yeah, it had some get up and go with those rear gears, 3:91 iirc. i actually took it down the drag strip at HRP a couple times drying the track when it rained. burnouts in second gear..

the MSRP window sticker looked cool with the ACR racing flag on it. the ride was kinda bumpy cuz of the tighter springs and couple that with the fruit punch/icee stains on the seats and headliner... my wife wanted to get rid of it. it had a factory alarm, not just the keyless entry, ABS and traction control. i wanted to keep it.

so.. of course i had to trade it in and we got an automatic SXT one with a huge wing on the back. LOL.. i traded that boring one in last year after my wife locked it up on the freeway. i was sleeping and woke up to sliding and almost hitting the car in front of us.

how'd you get the stains on the headliner? were the springs that stiff?

must've been a heck of a ride on the auto-x course, though.

acr springs are pretty damn stiff and i an vouch for that. my friend had one and we launched some hills petter solberg rally style with all the tires off the ground and it never bottomed out. even with 2 of us pushing down on the back of the car pretty har it would barely move.

^^ LOL.. my parents complained the most when they rode in the back.

the stains on the headliner were from when the kids pull out the straws to eat the icee or when they bend it when drinking and then let it snap out of their mouths.

the bumpy ride, i'm sure contributed to the spills on the seat as much as the children being children themselves.

that car had only one real problem, the rear trunk wasn't adjusted properly from the factory and when it rained, water would drip from the trunk rail and fill up the spare tire well in the trunk. it happened more often when the front end was parked downhill. we didn't realize this until the well was FULL of water, i checked the whole car because the glass would fog on sunny days. the spare tire was 90% submerged and it was spilling under the back seat... i found a puddle of coke and fruit punch under there. LOL
