BAMP Project proudly presents...

Odd Future

October 27
The Republik
Honolulu, HI

BAMP Project presents the Los Angeles collective rap group, Odd Future live at The Republik, Hawaii’s newest premier concert venue, on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Tickets on sale Friday, September 21 at the locations listed below.

In 2007, Tyler, The Creator was sixteen years old when he founded Odd Future, also known as Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All or OFWGKTA. He brought together the original members and new additions in their late teens to early 20s, including Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Hodgy, Mike G, Taco Bennett, Left Brain, Domo Genesis and the young woman DJ, Syd the Kyd. From dropping music and videos on their Tumblr page to hitting the stages across America and Europe, the group built a career around their crude and confrontational music that attracted a large underground audience and put them on the “top artists to watch” list.

The group received most of their press through blogs as well as magazines like the LA Weekly and Thrasher Magazine for skaters. In 2011, Tyler performed “Sandwitches” from his Goblin album with Hodgy Beats on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. MellowHype's Hodgy Beats and Left Brain performed “64” from their BlackenedWhite album on the Fuel TV program The Daily Habit in April 2011. Later that year, some members were contracted for a sketch comedy show called Loiter Squad that aired in March 2012 on Adult Swim.

In July, Odd Future announced their fall activities, including album releases and tours around the United States. This year brought the official release of their collection album, The OF Tape, Vol.2, a sequel to their debut mixtape The Odd Future Tape. On July 17, Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange was released, featuring John Mayer and Andre 3000. On August 1, Domo Genesis came out with No Idols, a collaborative effort with hip hop producer The Alchemist featuring Earl Sweatshirt and Action Bronson. October will drop Mellowhype’s new album Numbers and the hardcore Trash Talk’s fourth album 119, with Tyler’s Wolf coming out in November. Their three tours included the Internet Tour, TrashTalk Tour, and currently the Camp Flog Gnaw Tour, which ends with an Odd Future Carnival in Los Angeles.
